Teachers - Do we need them?

My own point of view is "Yes". Teachers are there so that they can direct us: tell us what to do, how to do it and if we make mistakes, correct them. For some, the teacher nearly belongs to their family. You can tell him happy as well as bad things.

Not all teachers are friendly or sympathetic. Some are strict and have very hard discipline, others have no sense of humour. At that time you have to only adapt yourself to the situation even if you don't like it. but hard discipline isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it helps you to work harder and so you can maybe learn more effectively.

Many questions may seem rather simple, but some demand understanding. At that time it's important to know what it is that you don't know and asking questions is the way. Then it's good that a teacher is present.

How then do the studies progress without an instructor? Not very well, I think. Then your motivation might decrease and you begin to spend your time watching television or playing computer games. Even if a teacher is an essential part of learning, the way you learn depends on you.
